See what the love of God and a catering truck can do

The shiny white-and-silver Loaves & Fishes RI truck is a gathering place for poor and homeless individuals throughout Rhode Island. Those in need are drawn to the truck for fresh sandwiches, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cookies, and more. They are warmed by coffee and hot chocolate – and by the compassion and love of our volunteers.

Join us in serving our brothers and sisters in need

Our thriving ministry brings together multiple churches and hundreds of volunteers from diverse backgrounds. We share one truck and a common purpose: to serve the homeless and working poor by providing food, clothing, hygiene products, and other basic necessities. The Loaves & Fishes RI truck makes no less than 19 visits a month to multiple sites statewide. While our fundamental mission is to feed the hungry, our broader purpose is to empower individuals to serve their communities with compassion and love. There are so many ways to pitch in – all it takes is an open heart and a willingness to serve your fellow Rhode Islanders.

20,000 meals and counting

Loaves & Fishes RI delivers more than 20,000 meals, plus clothing and basic necessities, to in-need Rhode Islanders throughout the year. With your help, we can serve more, with compassion and love, in 2020 and beyond.
